How do I sign up for classes?

Start by viewing our calendar http://clevelandexoticdance.com/class-calendar/ to find a class you would like to attend.
If you’ve never been here before, you’ll want to create a student account. Click “Sign-in” on the purple menu bar at the top of our site. Scroll down to “Don’t have a password?” and click “Sign-up now.”
Once you are signed in. Go back to the calendar using the purple menu on our website and click on your class. You’ll see all the membership options or you’ll see a drop-in option if you just want to take one class to see how you like it. You will need to pay for the class online to confirm your spot.

If you don’t want to pay online, or are having trouble with our registration system, please call us 440-941.7653. Please leave a message with your name, email address, phone number, and which class (day and time) you’d like to attend. We can reserve a spot for you, and you can pay when you arrive. If you can no longer make it to the class, please call back and let us know so we can open up the spot to someone else.

How old do you have to be to take classes?

Our classes are intended for adults ages 18 and over. You must contact us ahead of time for policies and procedures which will allow 16 or 17 year olds to attend. Please do not try to attend a class if you are underage without checking in with us and following procedure. We reserve the right to check IDs.
Students under the age of 18 may not take any Sexual Wellness class, lap dance class, striptease class, or any similar workshop of a primarily adult theme.
Students ages 16 or 17, if they have followed the registration policies and procedures, may take pole, belly dance, cardio, general dance, burlesque, hula hoop, or twerk classes.

Tell me about your classes.

We currently offer regular classes for Pole, Burlesque, Belly Dance, and Hula Hoop. You can find basic info about these classes here http://clevelandexoticdance.com/classes/

We also run specialty workshops from time to time in other dance topics such as our Twerkshop class, topics that supplement our regular classes, and sexual wellness classes. You can look at our class calendar to find out what is coming up here (Black is the color code for workshops) http://clevelandexoticdance.com/class-calendar/

Probably the BEST ways to be notified of new classes and workshops are to sign up for our monthly email newsletter here http://eepurl.com/u0D3L, Follow us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/CEDance or Twitter https://twitter.com/ClevExoticDance

When can I start classes?

All our regular classes are open enrollment, so you can start any time. Please view our class calendar http://clevelandexoticdance.com/class-calendar/ and select the class you’d like to attend.
All new students must start in a beginner level class. For pole students this means any class that is level I by itself or includes level I.

Private Parties

Can I bring food and drinks?

You are welcome to bring snacks and refreshments to your party. We have table space for you to set food out on, and you can keep things chilled in our fridge. PLEASE KEEP IT LIGHT. We have seen many parties bring entire meals and either pack it all up again or throw it out. Your guests will be spending their time dancing. We can take a break or two, but there really is not time to eat a full meal.
In addition, if you are doing Pole as your activity, please be mindful of the type of food you bring. Greasy finger foods will make the poles slippery, even if people wash their hands. For example, fried chicken is a bad idea. A mini sandwich tray would be much better.

Can I get my deposit back?

Short answer: No

Long answer: Deposits are 1 part of confirming your party with us. Before you pay the deposit, you party is penciled in. That means we are holding the spot for you in case another party calls to book, but it is not confirmed and we have not booked an instructor.

When we receive the deposit we turn all other groups away from that time slot, and we book the instructor.

If you do not show up for the party, we use the deposit to pay the instructor and recoup our losses since we couldn’t book another group.
We do understand things happen, and you can reschedule your party with your current deposit ONLY if we have advanced notice of at least 24 hours. Anything canceled the same day or no-shows forfeit the deposit.

You also need to show up on time for your party. This is part of our deposit policy as well. If you are going to be a little late, call us. Up to 15 minutes late is understandable. At 30 minutes late, you forfeit half your deposit. At 45 minutes late, you forfeit the entire deposit and we may not have enough time for your full hour and a half due to other parties and events that are booked after yours. Being on time or late, is designated by when we are able to start the class. For example: If 3 of you are there “on time”, but the rest of the group shows up an hour late and you have decided to wait for them and not start the class until they get there, then you are late.

How old do party guests need to be?

Our parties are intended for adults ages 18 and over. If ANYONE in your group is under 18, you MUST contact us at booking (BEFORE you pay the deposit) for policies and procedures which will allow 16 or 17 year olds to attend. Please do not try to book a party and attend if ANYONE in your group is under 18 without notifying us of the underage participant(s).
ALL IDs, even guests over 18, will be checked when you arrive for your party. NO EXCEPTIONS. So, you must follow booking procedure for any underage guests. If we find a guest trying to attend without having followed underage procedure, the party will be canceled on the spot WITHOUT the deposit being refunded.
Students under the age of 18 may not be involved in any party which teaches themes from our Sexual Wellness program, lap dance, or striptease.

What do we wear/bring?

This depends on the type of party you are doing.
POLE PARTIES: Shorts and a t-shirt or tank top if you want to do spins (both feet off the floor and being up on the pole). Stretch pants/leggings and a t-shirt or tank top if you do not want to do spins (keeping at least one foot on the floor at all times). Fabric on your legs will be slippery on the pole. If you are not sure about doing spins or not, bring shorts anyway because you won’t be able to in pants of any kind.
NO LOTION. NO RINGS OR BRACELETS.
HIGH HEELS: We know you want to be sexy and rock some hot heels, but this is not recommended for our parties. You will learn best in bare feet. IF you are landing softly and IF you are in control of your pole moves, you can try your heels and the end of the party. We cannot allow super spiky stilettos or metal heels as they will scratch the floor. Also and heels with metal studs or buckles on them will scratch the poles and you risk scratching yourself.

OTHER DANCE (NON POLE): If pole is not part of your activity, wear comfortable clothing which gives you full freedom of movement. Stretch/Yoga pants and a t-shirt or tank top are perfect. Below are other specifics to each different non pole activity.
BURLESQUE: You do need heels for this class since a large portion of this class is about walking and dancing in heels. Keep them simple. Bring heels you already feel comfortable walking in. It’s ok if that means they are only 1″ high. Everyone has to start somewhere.
BELLY DANCE: Bare foot is best. If you have a hip scarf you can bring it. We do have ones here for everyone to borrow.
TWERKSHOP: Super tight pants won’t work well. You need that booty to shake. Booty shorts are perfect, but if you’re a little shy a not too tight Stretch/Yoga pant will be fine.
STRIPTEASE: If striptease is part of your activity either with lap dance or with pole, you will need to bring these specific items.
A base layer. This is your “naked” layer. Since there is no nudity in class, we need something underneath everything we are stripping off. A bathing suit works best since the top layers will slide around easily. Shorts and a tank top are fine for the more modest.
Bra and Panties: not the ones you are wearing. Others that we will strip off, which will be worn on top of your base layer.
Men’s Button Down shirt: This shirt should not fit you. It should be loose and baggy. We do have some extra shirts for guests to borrow.
Tie: We’ll even teach you how to tie a tie.
Skirt: (optional) If you do bring a skirt, it should be stretchy and fit over your hips to be taken off. If your button down shirt covers everything, you don’t necessarily need the skirt.

FELLATIO LIKE A PRO: We have about 5 dildos which we sanitize after each class, but we encourage guests to bring their own phallic object to practice on. Bananas, small zuchinni, your own dildo…. something that would fit well in your mouth or is close to your partner’s size.
