We’ll also cover eyebrow shaping, adding false eyelashes, and where and when to add glitter and embellishments to finalize your show face. Samples and testers will be available, but please bring your makeup kit. All About Arms Specialty Class

Wednesday, August 19th 7:00-8:00pm

This specialty class is designed to give you a balanced workout addressing the concerns below. Not only will you be on the pole learning proper arm technique on both sides, and doing strengthening exercises with the pole, but you will also get on the floor. Floorwork provides an opportunity for some body weight resistance in other directions so you balance out the arm workout. Getting down some floorwork moves is also tons of fun.

PoleArmWhy a class focusing on arms?
It is pretty obvious that pole uses a lot of arm strength, but some times we get into some bad habits.
Overuse of the arm: How we use arms in pole is more than just biceps and triceps. To truly support many postures polers should also be using the muscles on the other side of the shoulder joint as well.
Only Training one side: We all have our favorite side, but then the other side gets neglected. Having one strong arm and one noodle arm is not only odd looking, but can create a physiological imbalance.
Only Training in one direction: Speaking of imbalances, polers are great at pulling the arms down (chin up/pull up motion), but give them the same amount of weight to pick up and the results are usually lacking. Muscles come in pairs and if you only work one direction you might eventually find yourself in some pain, or worse, injured.

NO POLE EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY FOR THIS CLASS
Current students can use any pole or unlimited membership for this class. Single drop-ins are $20 per person.

Pole For Men

Pole for Men Class on Monday, July 13, 2015, 8pm-9:30pm

Pole fitness is no longer just for women. There is a wide range of styles open to men who have different goals. Pole is a blend of flexibility, gymnastics, acrobatics, break dance, and yes dare I say it, cross-fit. Doing pole builds upper body and core strength equal to, or better than, any other forms of exercise. It is a novelty and something different to mix up your workouts. You will learn things like climbing, inverting, flagging and other acrobatic tricks.

Dance Like A Stripper

Friday March 13th. 7-9pm $25.00 is our first Dance Like a Stripper specialty class

We offer all kinds of pole and alternative dance classes. Some get into elements of exotic dance, but we generally keep it relatively tame.

This class is your chance to get a taste of what it’s like to work in a strip club (without the customers).

7609458_11d0093cb1_o

Roxi, a former stripper who worked 7 years in Cleveland/Akron area clubs, is now your House Mom. First we’ll be in the “Dressing Room” prepping for the shift. Bring your outfits and heels to change into while Roxi goes over some basics about the “club.” We also will have a limited supply of “stripper heels” and outfits for you to borrow for the class. You will also choose your “stripper name” to be used for the rest of the class.

Dancer_10886cNext, the “club” is open but it just opened so it’s pretty slow in the beginning. We will warm up and get started with walking in heels, working around the pole, basic floor work, booty shaking, stripping while doing all that, and what is going to get that first customer of the day to your stage.
Yes! You have someone at your stage, now we move on to the table side dance. This is how to give a teasing dance but keep him wanting more. He wants more? Good! Let’s move on to the lap dance. Here’s how to get more intimate but stay in control of the situation.

By the end of the class our “club” is quite busy. Full rotation on all stages. It’s show time. The class will be split up to those dancing on “stage” and those “working the floor.” Song rotations and announcements just like in a real club.

Show off what you learned in class!
